We picked this campground based on reviews on this board. This is a wonderful spot - close to Jekyll Island and driving distance to Okenfenokee Swamp and Cumberland Island. Sites are large, private and well treed and the the campground is very quiet. Staff are very friendly. There is a park/playground for kids and a nice walking trail and pier. We would come back in a heartbeat!

This state park was lovely. The sites were large, and well treed. The campground was quiet and staff were friendly. They have wonderful hiking trails and an excellent interpretive centre with snakes, turtles and even a baby alligator. The kids loved the Junior Ranger program and earned several badges during our stay. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Savannah is only 15 minutes away. We'd stay here again.
